Crunchy Crafty Kids Playground Fitness Tips

The Crunchy Crafty Kids are back with another fun video!

This time the Kids are showing you the right, wrong, and crazy way to work on your fitness while at the playground. Is your kid a Doofy, Dinah, or Dorkface?

This video originally was apart of the Universe Box podcast about fitness. You can see the full episode here.

Our Favorite Exercises

While the Kids are huge fans of screentime, they have still found the time to get their exercise in this summer. Here are some of their favorites:

  • Swimming
  • playing Pokemon GO
  • Climbing everything in sight
  • Splashing at Aquatica
  • Playing chase at school while mommy is in meetings
  • Walking around SeaWorld and climbing the rope playground
  • Chasing each other around the house
  • Cosmic Kids Yoga

We have been trying to work in more fitness and activities to go along with our #EatItOrStave Movement (if you haven’t joined, you should!). It doesn’t do you much good to eat good and not get moving. Another way the Kids are planning to work on their fitness is by joining their school’s running club. They want to make sure that our family is prepared for the school 5K fundraiser in November.

What are your family’s favorite ways to get in a workout?  Do you go for hikes or participate in swim team? Is there the next member of #TeamUSA in your house?

Ooooh, some really great ideas here! I’m trying to be more active with the kiddos too. I got a FitBit a couple months ago and was appalled at how little I moved in the day – if mama moves more… kids are more likely to move more too. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing!

HAHA! The FitBit always rats you out when you don’t get out there enough. We have really been liking our walks to go Pokemon hunting at lunch as a family.
