I know that this post isn’t crunchy….or crafty….and I opted for beer instead of coffee, but I wanted to share some pictures (a little blurry) from our recent trip to see Frozen on Ice with the kids!
So a few months ago when it was announced that Frozen: On Ice was coming to Atlanta I squealed…then I say the price of tickets 🙁 I had given up on the idea when hubby told me that his company was offering discount tickets! We hoped on the opportunity and decided not to tell the kids what was happening until we GOT THERE!
Now, I wish I could say that there initial reaction kicked booty, but they had no clue what anything “On Ice” meant…but as they saw more and more little girls in Elsa and Anna costumes I think it started to click!
The sets were amazing!!!! As a recovering theatre nerd I was immediately obsessed with all of the technical aspects. Especially the lighting rig.
Look at all of those fixtures!!!!
AHHHHH and that gobo (the design) was gorgeous! In fact, there were a ton of amazing ones throughout the show…but I wouldn’t expect less since it was Disney.
(Pardon the blurriness!) By this point they GOT IT! I think her smile (grin?) says it all!
Obligatory selfie to send to Papa and Sandy! (They sent us a goofy picture back!)
We resisted the $15 icee things in a collectors glass, because 3 kids = $45 in gross icee, but we got a $15 cotton candy that came with this super cool Olaf hat!! I claimed it so that the kids wouldn’t fight over it…too much.
In addition to the Frozen characters/story we got a good bit of your classic Disney characters! We saw a ton of princesses and animal characters. Here are a few!
Snow White and her Prince Charming!
Family Favorites – Buzz Lightyear and Woody!!!
But then….it was TIME!!!!
Elsa’s first adult appearance!
The coronation ball (and more awesome gobos!)
IT SNOWED INSIDE IN ATLANTA!!! This happened at least 4-5 times and it was truly magical each time 🙂
Let It Go! (My husband was unimpressed by this performance…it wasn’t as big and flashy as the rest of the show…I didn’t think it was bad!)
Sadly, this is my only “decent” picture of Anna, Kristof, and Sven…this could be because I love this trio and didn’t want to take pictures the WHOLE show!
So this is where my pictures ended…I could have sworn that I took more, but I guess I was too wrapped up in the thrilling conclusion 🙂
Let me leave you with this tidbit…I like Warm Hugs!
Is Frozen: On Ice coming to your town? Are your kids as OBSESSED as mine still are? Are YOU as obsessed as I am?!!?
