Colored Bobby Pins

Every time I decide to chop my hair short, bobby pins suddenly become my new best friend. The down side is that they can become rather boring unless I want to spend a good deal of money on fancy pins.

Quick and Painless Craft: Colored Bobby Pins

They are just plain and boring. While they get the job done, they aren’t very pretty or exciting.

The Solution

So without having to spend a single penny I have figured out a way to make custom bobby pins in minutes with a little nail polish.

Quick and Painless Craft: Colored Bobby Pins

Gather up a couple bottles of your favorite nail colors and start painting! (Yes, I realize that I painted on the wrong side of the bobby pin…)

Perks

  1. Cheap – No worries if your first, second, or even third try don’t come out the way you wanted
  2. Simple – These are so easy that even a child can make their own (with supervision, of course!)
  3. Easily Replaceable – Bobby pins tend to get lost rather easily, but with these personalized ones you can just make more!

Is this something that you think you might try? Do you have any quick and easy ways to add some color and coordination to your accessories?

If you like this craft, please consider sharing with your friends…unless you want to keep this secret to yourself!
